I know this is common sense to the majority of people on this forum but I can't stress how important it is to gamble responsibly.

There was a recent case in Australia where a man lost his entire life savings of $400,000+ in a 48 hour gambling spree.

The gambler lost $12,000 in a single bet and then tried to chase that initial amount but ended up losing his life savings.

I am a seasoned and experienced gambler and my one piece of advice to people is to only bet what you can afford to lose otherwise you are setting yourself up for failure.

In gambling we saw a lot of similar cases almost every time because people fail to gamble responsibly. Gambling responsibly also entails not gambling more than you can afford to lose or not gambling money you have later plans for, if you do your case is likely to end up just like the victim on this case. He obviously gambled more than he could afford to lose probably as a result of greed and then tried to chase after his losses which is also a very bad thing to do when gambling.

When i see such reminder posts about gambling responsibly i never feel is too stressed because people needs to be reminded regularly about it so they can learn to gamble reasonably. It is a game of uncertainty which one can lose his/her fortune in matter of hours if they are not careful, sometimes you win sometimes you lose so there is no need to over gamble.
