The Red Devils has been in intense search of defenders these days. This is the best thing for them as it has been their weakest point. However I assume there isn't much progress on a player so far. I didn't even know they were interested in Araujo. But it is good to hear they have dropped their interest.
I mean he really tends to make simple mistakes. We have seen many examples at Barcelona. I don't believe he is reliable.

The club was willing to sell some of their players then and Manchester United wanted to test their negotiating position of whether the player can be up for sale, but it was made clear that the player isn’t for sale and anything that will make him up for sale will be a ridiculous fee which the current Manchester United board are definitely fighting not to get into so they left him.
I see you pointed out that the player makes mistakes, I will say the there is no player that doesn’t make mistake and Araujo isn’t exceptional. If you ask me he is the best defender that the club has and definitely up there with the best currently, he is 24 and can only get better with time and games. If not for the outrageous amountsi would say United should go for him.
Well don't be surprised that a team actually comes and meet this release clause besides the player is very good and he is worth that money and there are so many players that wasn't up to that standard but yet we're still bought because the transfer market has gotten really wild interms of teams spending or splashing money on players.
Last transfer, I will tell you that Oshimen will be easily bought at $100M above had Napoli put him up for sale but right now as things stands I don’t think he will be able to amount to that. He had a poor season last season base on the caliber of player that he is, this was due to injuries and the absence due to the AFCON participation. Some clubs will be scared about paying that amount for him because they don’t know maybe he can’t replicate the same thing he did when he won the league for Napoli. But a price down to $80m and clubs would come for him
