Up to you. If you want a high chance of being scammed by the people behind the project then yea sure go ahead. If you want something a bit more stable and trustworthy choose the well known projects already. A project being "everywhere" doesn't really matter as a marketing advantage anymore. People can easily create bots, buy advert spots, hire people to spam forums to let people know about their shitcoin, it inevitably ends up to you judging their project itself and whether it has any future or not.

Though if you're shorting that's basically leaving it up to luck since shitcoins can have random moments where the team behind it would just dump the coin to oblivion. If you can sell before that then congrats ig.
