USA can't default because they have the money printing machine. Why going bankrupt, when you could print more money and pay your debts?
They cannot just print money to repay debt, if that was the case they will not need debt to service their expenses, they will just print more money. I understand that indiscriminate money printing has increased over the years but there are still some processes which has to be followed.
