Some countries changed their official names in later years and kindly asked everyone to use new one. If you check united nations its also Türkiye there.

Anyways Turkish national team performed very well in first half. Austria's game was pretty locked as Türkiye played with some central midfielders filling gaps of center backs.
In second half Austria used its energy. They played consistently good, deserved to score to be honest. But Turkish defence, even if it was struggling, performed rather good. Merih and Mert were really good in whole match.

The Turkish team really took everyone by suprise, though I already knew that Austria will find it difficult to play them. The Turkish team are to aggressive with their attack, at least in all their games I've watched, they always push the ball with so much energy.

Turkiye will be meeting Netherland on their next quarter-final encounter, however the Netherland team that I've seen so far, though they qualified for the knockout stage as best losers, those guys are having a lot of firepower with them, I doubt if the Turkish team can stand them on Saturday, though this is football anything can happen but I don't see turkiye winning the Netherlands in that encounter.
