Before the quarterfinals began, here are the odds on the title holder:
England - 4.75
Spain - 5.00
France - 5.50
Germany - 5.50
Netherlands - 8.00
Portugal - 10.00
Switzerland - 15.00
Turkey - 34.00
It is quite strange to see England as favorites (after such an unconvincing game), but it so happens that in one part of the tournament bracket there are England and the Netherlands, and in the other Germany, Spain, Portugal and France.
It is obvious that England's path to the final will be much easier than the rest.
In general, fairly fair quotes and I must note that there is actually no favorite. Now compare that to the Cup of America

The bookies favor Spain, will this team easily pass Germany, this is a bit difficult to guess who the chances of winning.
England is better than Belandari in terms of chances, I'm not sure it can beat Switzerland given the poor performance we saw in the previous match, Switzerland is a difficult team to beat so England could be overwhelmed.
Scenario England meets Netherlands then we choose Netherlands. Haha
I didn't know how awful England had been in this competition. But I read many blog stories complaining how Southgate doesn't know the formation to play and the players to feature. So, I decided to watch England's last match and the whole thing was different. The formation was ok, the players played were the right ones and in the overall performance, England was superb.
Although, I don't know how their past matches were, but with the last one I watched, I can see England in the finals.
Wait, I learnt that Arnold played the group matches, please where did he play? Right back or central midfield?
