I often wonder what people could think or how could they be weak to the point that they allowed themselves to be controlled by gambling to an extent. Above all, this can't be the fault of gambling, and most importantly, I maintain that everything about it can't be bad, it only depends on the preparedness and smartness of the gamblers in engaging it. If done well, it will be positive overall.
The reason you wonder of the possibility of being controlled by gambling basically in my own understanding is that probably you were informed of gambling in moderation earlier in your gambling activities, maybe you didn't chase losses or depend on gambling for your daily funding or revenue generation.
I didn't have that knowledge on time and worse of it all, gambling favored me early in my gambling life, so I focused on it as a career and it did to me what gambling normally do to people who focus on it with all their being. I got really addicted and wasted a lot of precious time and finances on gambling until I became tired of my foolishness and decided to avoid gambling for some time to be able to heal from my addiction syndrome.
Some addicts are not to blame since they didn't get the right information on the best mode of engagement in gambling, they are stuck, most especially those with limited will power. They really need help because they have been infected by the addiction syndrome.
