Xavi has less couching experience when he arrived at Barcelona but things at then were not as disorganized as it is now. The present situation in Barcelona is going to give Hansi a sleepless nights before he could be able to put things into order. The financial crisis inherited from the previous management will deprive him of having the right players he needs to work with.

There is a big experience gap between Xavi and Hansi Flick. But Xavi did pretty good things despite that. He won a La Liga title once. Yeah maybe the previous season didn't go well but I can't just overlook his success anyway.

I believe in Xavi to be a really competent manager in time. He just needs to gain more experience with European teams if possible. I don't want him to waste his time with Qatari or Saudi Arabian teams. I know they would pay a lot more but this wouldn't be great for his career at the same time.  Sad

Competing with Madrid? Perhaps, in the next two to three seasons we may see something like that again but definitely not this coming season judging from situation of both teams at the moment. The excitement of El Classico has been diminished long before now and worsen since the exit of Ronaldo and Messi.

To compete with Real Madrid at the same level, Barcelona needs transfers. As big as possible too. Because Real Madrid has built an insane squad. With Mbappe's joining the team too I don't know how they can be stopped. The only way for Barcelona to keep up with them is to answer them in the same way.  Smiley
