So, why don't they tax the poor who barely struggle to eat?:Simply because they found those set of citizens useless and the prison will be occupied if charge them for not paying taxes since there are more Poor people than the rich in the society.
Paying tax shouldn’t be a problem to any patriotic citizen, what you earn is demanded you pay a tax equivalent to that. So high income earners are required to pay more when giving out tax than the low income ones. If you’re poor and can’t afford to pay a tax, then you must not be engaging in anything that will prompt you to do so. Tax is good for the development of the nation alongside what you’re paying those money for.
The problem why some people don’t pay tax now lies in the politics that is been played within the governments jurisdiction. They take the tax and don’t reciprocate it back with what they need to do to make the citizens happy for paying those taxes. If you continue to tax me and I don’t see myself in a better living environment or living conditions, i will not be convinced to pay more tax when time comes and will want to begin evading it. The government has a role to play in this and if they actively play theirs well, they won’t have problems with most citizens again.
