Sometime it looks that AI can do more harm than good. In bad hands this powerful tool can make so much damage. Like your mentioned deepfakes, now it's so easy to make quality deep fake. Very simple example, put words asking to invest into some random scam and let's take Musk as example telling such words. Just imagine how much money scammers can get in such way.
The percentage of fraud using deepfake technology has increased, and this is due to the lack of awareness and knowledge among people. Since it was a new technology and many had not known it before, its effectiveness has increased recently. I have noticed many accounts on social media platforms, websites, and projects that use this technology to produce videos of billionaire Elon Musk and other prominent and well-known figures to deceive people and make them trust their fraudulent schemes according to what they have seen and heard in a realistic and high-definition manner. However, if those who were scammed had previous knowledge of this advanced tool used by fraudsters and had conducted their own research, they would have been able to uncover this professionally and cleverly designed scheme. Now, everything can be falsified and imitated in a more than excellent way.
It is good that companies like Sumsub have provided effective anti-deep fake technologies, such as in-house pixel analysis and pattern recognition. We hope to find other solutions and technologies that will make a difference in deterring the abuse of AI technology.
