If Maresca didn’t perform well in the first season, then we should expect him to be fired just the way Pochettino was fired. Chelsea doesn’t have patience with their coaches, so if Maresca doesn’t perform well, then he will also be leaving, which is really affecting Chelsea. A coach can’t just fix everything within a season, if the first season of a coach isn’t really good, then the coach should be given more time. Pochettino's performance wasn’t really bad towards the end of last season, which means he was already getting the Perfect squad for Chelsea, but he has been sacked, and the new coach will have to start building his own squad, which might really take time.
So I am not expecting Chelsea to play anything special next season because the coach will have to start building his squad, and it’s not really going to be easy for him to adapt to new players.
Not only on the first season but also first half season if Enzo Maresca less expectation and fail bring Chelsea become the big four teams I think he has chance loss his position or sack as Chelsea's manager.
Its not difficult for Chelsea's management have bad habit sack every manager in short term when less expectation with team performance although Pochettino at the end this season success bring Chelsea finish on 6th standings position.
Many people criticism with Chelsea's management how easily sack manager without give them more longer time adapt their tactician, I think supported huge money for signing top players become reason why management want to get quickly result for Chelsea reach the higher standings position without take more longer time.
I doubt with Enzo Maresca will success for the first season bring Chelsea return as the top fourth standings team and qualify to Champion League next season or he will get the same with previous Chelsea's manager Pochettino sack from his position one season only.
