What happened in the UEL last season was totally shocking. I'm a Liverpool fan and I was shook to my bones watching Atalanta demolish Liverpool at Anfield. I was even more surprised when they handed Leverkusen their first and only loss of the 2023/2024 season and it was no small goal margin. Despite all those surprises last season, I still maintain my stance that the UCL is an entirely different ball game compare to what we saw in the UEL. In the UEL, we only had 2 favorites. In the UCL, almost all teams that qualified are all top tier teams so if you miss the first one, there's a chance the next is going to knock you out for good.
