I didn't think Zimbabwe would beat a strong team like India. Zimbabwe surprised everyone by beating India. India won the toss and decided to bowl. Zimbabwe batted first and collected 115 runs, a target of 116 runs was not a big enough target. Chasing the target of 116 runs in T20 format was very easy. But India went down to chase the target and were all out for 102 runs. Abhishek Sharma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Dhruv Jurel, their performance was very bad, if they all could have done well then India would have won. Sikandar Raza and Tendai Chatara both bowled brilliantly. Congratulations to the Zimbabwe team for defeating a strong team India.
Yes it is really surprising how a world champion game that won the 2024 world cup lost the match against a weak team Zimbabwe. Even before the match started I was thinking that India team will win these match but the kind of performance Zimbabwe team has given is really commendable. I think the Indian team will make a good comeback in the next matches and win the series.
