They found ways to let people know them and people followed them and also paid them to learn about trading. That makes then also to be a successful traders  but just that they are not making money from the trading that they are teaching people but making money from being a trading tutor. Just like you said, only few trader's are making money from trading directly. Out of 100% traders, almost 100% researchers that researched on the statistics of traders that are making money from trading, are pointing to 5 or less than 10% of traders that are among money directly from trading.
