So I see Spain as having a greater chance of also reaching the final. Now if Spain and the Netherlands reached the final, I see Spain being champions.
I can’t agree less with you mate, the Dutch’s have been very underrated throughout this tournament, even against Turkey they were not favourite to win the game but among all the other four participants they are the only ones that didn’t needed any extra 30 minutes to move pass any stage. They have been scoring freely with Spain the nation that has scored more than them among the last four. But let’s leave the scoring aside, their backline has been a joy to watch for me, they say defense wins you trophies and that’s one thing that’s leading the Dutch right now. I don’t think England will have this games easy if ask me.
England and Netherlands do not majorly meet a lot in international competitions if I am not mistaken those stats are from Friendlies which I don’t ever use to analyze my predictions. England under Southgate have been always poor in pre tournament matches but in the real tournament they have managed to learn how to win even if they play bad at times, that could be what might save them in this phase now against Netherlands
Spain played better than France so far and might play better in their direct match at semi final stage but at this stage and with knock out format, playing better or not is not important. The key is you need to win a match and come closer to win a competition. France with their performances so far don't care much about impression and result is what they care most.
I don’t think there is any nation that actually plays better than Spain, they deserved this place. But right now against a team and coach that has played in the last two World Cup finals it will take more than just playing good to win against this team. They might setup a team to frustrate Spain from playing their usual beautiful football. I think Spain might have to twerk their playing style a little bit to compete with the French team
