For me Messi have not done too well in this competition. I know many people are looking at him as the key man but we have not seen much coming from him apart from his presence which is enough to keep the opponents in their toes. Rather, while attention is on Messi, Lautaro Martinez is actually the one doing the damage. He has scored most of the goals that got Argentina to where they are now. It is just strange how none of the big teams is able to win their knock out matches clean without entering penalty shout out. Argentina survive the penalty but Brazil lost to Uruguay and are out of the competition amidst so much rage from their fans.
