I have never seen any strategy that actually guarantees wins in gambling. The only working strategy has to deal with discipline, self-control and money management. These are the right gambling strategies. Nothing else works out for gamblers other than these methods. Because most times players fail to understand that using a trick on the casino could work for few times and stop. And most often it doesn't work. The moment a gambler begin to worry over his failed strategy be could start moving from method to another hoping on changes. Not realizing that what works for a player wouldn't for another. Hence, everyone should work on their playing strategies, maybe upgrade as you suggested.
Just how you said it, the moment you think that you need to change to another strategy the time that the house is winning inside you, that kind of emotion will leads you to be more aggressive and if you push forward, mostly you will lose all your money.
It's simple, let's say, a gambler tries something that's been recurring in his mind, maybe; play ten times and probably they'll be a win, he does it and luckily he won before the tenth spin. He'd try it again, and same result happens. The person would feel he'd found a way to win consistently in gambling. Not realizing that the house also watches his moves and could be using it against him the next time he tries.
On the next session, his result would change and he wouldn't be able to detect a better way to go about this, then, sooner the player would want to devise a fresh strategy. This then makes the player to always work on strategies that will make him win money, instead of relying on the methods that'll secure him emotionally. On the long run, such a gambler would end up losing lots of money, trying out fresh strategies that's erupting from his mind.
