Of a truth France hasn't really been that convincing since the start of this competition. They have been solid at the back that's why they haven't conceeded much goals. It's very unfortunate that Mbappe is not at his best form for France in this competition. But for me I think Spain should advance to the finals. They have been the most hardworking team so far and they deserve a shot in the finals. I'm not expecting anything less from Spain when the meet France, I expect them to play the same way they have been playing so far. They have good goal scorers and if they can utilize their opportunities as it comes along they will win. The French defense will give them problem, because they will be aiming for the game to go into penalty shootout if they can't score goals up front because their strikers are not performing well. They would want to take their chance in a penalty shootout.
France may not be stable. Not only Mbappé. France's bench is full of reliable players. Some bumps and bruises could be a blessing for Mbappé. It compels the team to act, making them unpredictable and dangerous.
Compared to Spaniards, French are skyscrapers. French could dominate set pieces, corners, free kicks. Last minute, corner kick, boom, header, goal. Classic French win without penalties. Spain work hard. But winners take advantage of opportunities, and France excels at that. The French defense will be difficult for the Spanish to breach.
The game should have fireworks, not penalties. Goals, excitement, drama. Wishing the greatest team a goal shower, not a shootout.
