There is no official announcement because PSG may be negotiating with Napoli and Osimhen. Chelsea scout is probably negotiating, too. So, there is nothing to be announced for now. Moreover, Napoli wants more than €100m for the transfer fees. It is a big amount of money, PSG and Chelsea shouldn't be easy to decide spending a lot of money for a single player only. Especially, a player who no longer plays in his best form. It may be worth to spend more than €100m in the past, but it is not worth anymore for now. I heard the rumor that PSG ever made an offer €120m, but not sure if PSG still wants to increase their bid for Osimhen.
Speculation about Osimhen's future is still one of the hot news to be discussed at the moment, Osimhen currently still has the status of a Napoli player even though he is currently often linked with several other clubs but so far there is no certainty which club will buy him, the price being expensive is of course an obstacle to Osimhen difficulty in getting a new club, even PSG, Chelsea and Arsenal have declared their resignation after hearing the price that Napoli is charging for Osimhen at this time,Previously PSG was a strong candidate to bring in Osimhen and Osimhen had even stated that he was willing to continue his career at Ligue 1, but who knows what happened now that PSG is no longer trying to get him after the high price set by Napoli previously.
It is reported that currently Napoli have lowered the price of Osimhen but so far the price set is still very high, Osimhen is not included in Conte plans next season of course forcing Napoli to immediately sell him and in fact Napoli have now set the price for Osimhen at 100 million euros after previously napoli wanting 130 million million euros, but I think the price is still very high so teams like Arsenal and Chelsea will not try to take the risk of signing him at this time.
I think Osimhen’s price at 100m is still not justified. He is definitely a prolific striker up top and had a great season with Napoli when they won the title in 22/23. But it is also important to note that Osimhen is not the most consistent striker, and no top club would want to splash a huge amount of money who doesn’t ensure instant success.
PSG is going for a rebuild, so for them to spend so much on Osimhen is unlikely. Chelsea and Arsenal were on the scene for a while, maybe they are there still, but nothing can be said as of yet. But I think Napoli has to reduce their asking price by 20-30 million to sell Osimhen this season as Enzo Maresca is very much interested in this player and wanna build a new squad for the 24/25 season.
