M. Salah is indeed the most important player at Liverpool. He contributed the most to Liverpool. But last season we also saw several matches played by Liverpool without Salah. And yes, the results are not much different. It's just that when Salah is around, Liverpool becomes sharper in attacking. But when Salah was injured and he was absent for several weeks, we could immediately see that Liverpool could adapt to conditions without Salah.
He is an important player in Liverpool squad, his contribution to the team really helps Liverpool to earn the recognition they have in the past six season because his presence keep Liverpool at the top to compete with Manchester City. Now his age and some attitude has started to affect his performance, he spoiled his reputation last season when he talk back to his manager on the field which is politely wrong, and his performance dropped since the beginning of last season. It is almost his career and at Liverpool because I know they will sell him out to any serious buyer this transfer summer and he may likely go to Saudi Pro League next season.
It's just that last season Liverpool were still with Klopp. And what concerns me is precisely about their new coach, Arne Slot. Will the new coach be able to make Liverpool better or not?
To make Liverpool better, the management need to give Arne Slot some money and time; he need to sign players he thinks will be suitable to his style of play and even if he get them, it will take him at least one season to get balance with his job as a manager because the outcome of the results is related to him.
