Of course, they had to improve the squad as they were going to face stiff opponents in the upcoming time. so it only makes sense that Alonso is bringing in a lot of that he understands will be very important for his squad. We also have to understand that Leverkusen does not provide a high level of finances to Xabi Alonso as well. so he will have to bring in players very carefully. Even though he was able to bring in huge success with Leverkusen, I do not think he will be able to the level of finances that Bayern Munich has or any of the big competitive clubs that he is going to play against. He will probably have to again work with a club that is probably going to be half as powerful as Bayern Munich. But for some reason, I still believe that Alonso will be able to bring in good results.
I think Xabi Alonso is making good decisions to improve his team before difficult games. He has to be careful about who he chooses because Leverkusen does not have a lot of money. Even though he has done well with Leverkusen I am also worry that they do not have as much money as big clubs like Bayern Munich. But I still believe in Alonso ability to succeed despite these challenges. He is a smart coach who can get best out of his players and that will help Leverkusen compete with the bigger teams. I think he will find ways to overcome financial limitations and lead his team to victory.
