I guess it depends on the gambler himself. Even when you consider gambling as a hobby, it can also have negative consequences. For those who know the limits of their hobby, it won't be a problem. but for those who are too engrossed in their hobbies, to the point of forgetting their boundaries, it can have bad consequences.

People have one goal when it comes to gambling which is money and gambling is like one of the easiest way to make money because with just small amount of money you might be able to double your money that was staked. People make money from gambling and that is why they are making it as an hobby already, and the negativity of gambling is usually based on the person because if you do to much when you want to gamble then you greed will only lead the person to more problems. Boundaries is good for those that can not control them self their is always a lot when you gamble so is better to just control how you like money or they will just use you as an bait and they will feed on you.

hobby tends to be for fun. But many people are too happy with their hobbies which causes them to focus on their hobbies and forget about other things they should also be doing. Too much fun is also not good. the point is control.

Gambling is fun when you are winning but if you are not winning you will know that sometimes as fun as it can be it can also be very dangerous. I gamble everyday but I try as much as possible to control my self, not to go to extreme. Have a budget of what you want to gamble, so that you don’t go above your budget and lose money, everyone with their cross.
