Some arguments are better left for those in the circle. You really can’t see things from the eyes of a parent towards the child except you are a parent yourself. When it comes to parenting and I don’t mean, you haven’t to adopt even though that does count (for some with good hearts). When it comes to caring for a child you birth, there is hardly nothing you wouldn’t do to ensure that child is a success. You already said it OP as evident in what you’ve seen around you.
Almost every responsible parent gives their all and even gives up their future so they can build that of their kids. While some parents might work themselves out literally, others make sacrifices that might seem unwise to many.
Even then, it’s undeniable that it’s still a gamble. Some kids might grow to understand what it actually took in their upbringing and do the most to actually go through that process of upbringing to come out successfully, while others wouldn’t just mind. They see you to be duty bound and that’s it.
Which ever it is, the love of a parent to the child knows no boundaries. You might want to have a limit to what you can sacrifice but, it’s left for a parent and the child to know what that limit actually is.
