Honestly, I think shilling can be helpful if done transparently,
Shilling is getting paid to say good things about the project so it is hard to be transparent doing that, will you say some of the negative traits of the project you're shilling?
but it can also feel deceitful if not disclosed.
It is deceitful because you are paid to do it
I believe in the importance of authenticity and clear communication. The program I joined did just that - I built my own community while educating people about the platform and cryptocurrency, a 50-50 approach that benefited both parties. Plus, it helped people learn more about the crypto space.
If you're promoting and educating you should take out the shilling and be as transparent as possible, based on the feedback of your history here in Bitcointalk you are shilling a project.
