The French League is absolutely nothing compared to other standard league with fierce competitive race amongst themselves. Ligue One have only entertaining features but when it comes to the real deal, they snapped out of it because they're incompetent to face major clubs. For instance, in the UEFA Champions League, we all know what always happen to Paris Saint-Germain failed attempts in numerous times.  They've tried and tried until they get no hope left. Perhaps it doesn't mean they will give up but continue to make attempts because winning is sure.
In fact, I don't see Ligue One as one of Europe's top five leagues if only one team completely dominates each season. Ligue One is just being overly exaggerated because there are starting to change with the arrival of new stars who were at PSG previously and I'm sure that after this this league will no longer be so interesting in the future.

Apart from that, PSG is indeed an icon for this league, but overall they are not much different from other teams from the Portuguese or Turkish leagues who always suffer the same fate of being eliminated in the Champions League and not achieving anything they want. So Ligue One is nothing more than a decoration that is too forced.
I have an opinion that Portuguese league teams are better than other teams in France except PSG. Paris SG is very good, the others are average teams. That's why there is very little competition and the second place teams change from time to time. Competition is at a high level in the Portuguese league. That's why I must add that it is even more exciting than the French league. Portuguese league teams also have success in the European league. It seems like there is less success in France than the teams other than PSG.
