There was a time not long ago that Paris Saint German (PSG) had K. Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar in their team that we all thought they were going to do wonders and capture the champions league like never before but nothing of such as expected of such squad materialized. Am not saying Madrid is not a threat with the inclusion of Mbappe in their squad towards next season but that doesn't make them unbreakable, neither does it give assurance about their winning the UCL trophy next season. They could be unlucky and with various lapses because having the team crowded with star players doesn't omit them from some possible lapses to which their opponents can drill through.
I have no expectations from any team yet till the start of the season with teams transitioning from the group stage to the next round. All I look for is enjoying the games and be well entertained with good football. And should Real Madrid continue in their expedition of winning the UCL over and over again the competition will eventually start looking boring for football fans, this is why we need other teams to intercept their serial flow.
Interestingly in the Champions League there are no teams that can always dominate. Except Real Madrid is only able to maintain three times in a row and of course it will be very difficult to materialize again.
The Champions League atmosphere is truly amazing and the tournament has been running for a long time so that each team is always very ambitious to be able to get the trophy.
Yes, I also thought that at that time PSG would be able to win the competition, because the presence of Lionel Messi and several other top players, but again the mystery of the Champions League was difficult to realize. Dominating the champions league doesn't mean that a particular team will have to defend it for 3 consecutive seasons because it will almost be so difficult because it's not like normal domestic trophy where a team can win from 4 to 5 times consecutively because the champions league is made up of different teams from different leagues so it is more difficult than the normal league games but however, with how Real Madrid have gotten so strong in the champions league they can possibly go 3 consecutive champions league trophies.
Everyone is sounding as if the arrival of Mbappe is what will make Real Madrid become stronger forgetting to know that Real Madrid is an already established team whereby almost all players are equal in performance for the team so they were literally doing alright before they signed Kylian Mbappé so let us not overrate Kylian Mbappé as he joined the Madrid team because they were doing very well before his arrival.
When Mbappe was together with Messi and Neymar Jr at PSG, they were just unlucky not to win the champions League and not that they didn't try there best, they did but things weren't going well with PSG winning the Champions League even with the availability and efforts of the trio. For a team like Madrid, what happened in PSG cannot happen to Kylian Mbappé because there's no way he wouldn't win the Champions League with Real Madrid. Regardless of the fact that expectations are high on Real Madrid but let's not forget that a lot of teams are contesting for the Champions League so anyone of them can come out and challenge Madrid but just that everyone is making predictions as regards to what is very visible now which is Real Madrid dominating the champions league.
