Xavi had to leave Barcelona because he spoke the truth. Financial problems can sometimes get in the way of everything. But Xavi had to leave his job because he often talked about financial problems. With Hansi Flick, Barca can start a new style of play. Hansi Flick's style of play and philosophy is that there is always room for improvement. Flick will carry her team with a no excuses mentality. Flick will try to get the best out of every player in the team. But it is very difficult for Flick to have a magic touch as soon as he arrives in Barcelona. He have different philosophies and ideas. So we need to give him time to settle in, find his players and then expect miracles.
Barcelona president Laporta was not ready to hear the truth and that's why I think he decided to let Xavi Hernandez leave the club forgetting the sacrifices the Spanish manager have made for the club. Xavi Hernandez became the manager of Barcelona when the club was struggling after Lionel Messi left but was able to help them remain competitive and even won the the Spanish La Liga title with them last two seasons. Laporte saw Xavi Hernandez as a manager who's definitely not ready to massage his ego of which he wasn't comfortable with. Appointing Hansi Flick as the new manager isn't a bad idea but for a manager like Flick who doesn't know much about Barcelona, I think he'll actually struggle to succeed in his new role. Xavi Hernandez was ready to help Barcelona regain their place as one of the best clubs in Europe but the club president didn't give him the time to do all of that. I hope the new manager succeeds though
