No doubt, Canada really stood up in this 3rd position match and gave a good fight to Uruguay. However keeping the whole context of this year's Copa America i think they deserve this position. Even I thought that they would have been in the finals with Argentina but not to be as Colombia managed to beat them somehow. Remember it was Uruguay who beat Brazil in the Quarterfinals and from there onwards, I believe on them to reach the finals.
Canada managed to make a comeback after falling behind in the 8th minute through a goal scored by Bentancur, but Uruguay managed to show its class after managing to equalize at 2-2 through a goal scored by Luis Suarez in second half injury time. Finally, Uruguay managed to secure third place after a 4-3 penalty shootout, Luis Suarez was Uruguay savior and he deserved to be the star in this match. Third position is very appropriate for Uruguay because they were expected to appear in the final against Argentina, but due to the defeat to Colombia, Uruguay had to fight with Canada in the battle for third place.
Now there is only one more exciting match left compared to the Uruguay vs Canada match, Argentina and Colombia will face each other to be the best in this tournament. I hope Argentina can win the Copa America this time, after that we will see how the competition between the best players will be in winning the Ballon D'or, previously Messi was not favored because of his lack of achievements, but if he succeeds in bringing Argentina to win the Copa America, his name might appear again in the competition.
