Last season Arsenal managed to reach the quarter-finals, where expectations for Arteta's fleet were actually quite good, but in the end they failed at the hands of Bayern who were experiencing setbacks. Madrid, City and Bayern next season will be the main forces in the race for the trophy, and other candidates such as Arsenal are behind them. Arsenal's main priority is the Premier League, even though they are still trying their best in the Champions League, it is quite difficult to appear balanced in every competition.
This season is going to be entirely different from the previous one because Arsenal will put in more work for improvement and also keep close sights on major titles. The UEFA Champions League is not for newbies but for elite clubs that have stand their ground and knows basically what they need. Arsenal tried their best but couldn't coupled up with the outstanding performance of the club. It's been outrageous for Mikel Arteta and Gunners perhaps he's one of the promising coach to lift the burden of the club since the departure of Arsene Wenger.
Entirely different? I don't think so. Arteta is still with almost the same squad next season. He's only making a minor change to it. I want them to perform like last season. But, Arteta needs to emphasise that his club needs to bolster their mentality. They need it in their fight for the trophy against Manchester City.
Arsenal did well last season. They had amazing statistics compared to Manchester City. The improvement is totally needed by Arsenal, as it's on the mentality of their players.
Arsenal conceded fewer than Man City last season. It demonstrated that they were making big improvements to their squad. Arteta only needs to fix a small issue with their attack.
It's gonna be more than enough to help Arsenal become even more competitive than last season. They're already competitive. They almost beat City in the title race. But, they lost points to West Ham and Aston Villa due to small mistakes. It cost them trophy.
