Frankly, I was quite surprised with how this match went because I thought that Uruguay would get an easy win in this match but, what happened was that Canada played quite impressively and they were able to provide fierce resistance to Uruguay. Canada could have won this match if only they could have played calmly toward the end of the match, unfortunately, they looked very nervous when facing pressure from Uruguay, and that actually created an opening for Uruguay to get their goal.
Previously, many expected Uruguay to qualify for the final rather than Colombia. If this scenario happened, Argentina would very easily beat Uruguay. Canada really made a surprise, they managed to get two goals back after trailing 1-0 in the 8th minute, but Luis Suarez ended Canada dream with a goal he scored just before the end of the game. This goal opened up opportunities for Uruguay, as well as providing a bonus for the spectators, the match had to continue until the penalty shootout and Uruguay managed to secure third place. Canada looked a little nervous towards the end of the match, if they had played a little calmer by staying focused in their defensive area or changing the game to a defensive one, maybe they would have secured the victory they had achieved.
