Arsenal have played very well in the last two seasons and actually they really deserve to be champions. But unfortunately City played better. Arsenal are only two or three points behind City and this shows that they are also playing consistently but they were unlucky to lose some crucial games. Mikel Arteta has learned many things from Guardiola and he has succeeded in making Arsenal better. I think Arsenal will have a chance to win the title this season.
Been deserving of the league title is one thing than actually getting to win it is another, Arsenal by almost every standard was deserving of the trophy last season but their result wasn't such that gave them the privilege, Manchester city was not just deserving but they eventually won after a fierce title race with Arsenal. With the experience Arsenal and last season, I'm expecting that they must have learnt and would know where to avoid making certain kinds of mistakes because they have witnessed and understood the effects of it on them last season. Pep isn't relenting which is more reasons Arsenal must make sure to not make any mistakes if they wish to win the league title this time.
Arsenal weakness seems to lie in the rotation options that Arteta has, besides that, Arsenal also doesn't have a striker as sharp as Halaand. Manchester City has everything it needs to win trophies, Arteta certainly understands the differences better because he once worked for Pep Guardiola at the Etihad. It's true, Arsenal has gotten better every season, and last season they almost overthrew Manchester City as defending champions. Meanwhile, Arteta must be really careful in recruiting players, and must also be able to retain his key players so that they don't leave in this transfer window. Because all of this could affect Arsenal chances of competing at the top of the standings, and It would be a shame if Arsenal failed again next season.
