This Osimhen wants to play in the Champions League next season and of course, the Premier League teams will meet his requirements. Osimhen believes that this is an important stepping stone for him to develop his career and affirm his class. But high transfer fees are a big barrier for teams. Osimhen's transfer price was valued by Napoli at 100 million euros, a not small number. So the possibility of him staying at Napoli is quite high. Antonio Conte can take advantage of this opportunity, keep him here, I believe he will be the nucleus to help the team revive shortly.
Currently 100 million is the normal price for players who have potential and are young, we know some records have been set recently regarding transfer fees especially since the Saudi Pro League has done it in these 2 seasons and impact on player prices in the transfer window. I have said before that I want to see Osimhen play in the Premier League and want to see him compete with other top players and Chelsea is the team that is able to bring him in, it's just that the agreement has not been reached even though we know Napoli also want Lukaku.
Napoli can buy Romelu Lukaku and sell Osimhen to Chelsea. Osimhen is an important player and can contribute a lot to Chelsea. Moreover, Chelsea, which has rented Lukaku for a few years, can use him in the transfer and reduce the cost. They can easily convince Napoli with Lukaku and some money on top of that. Osimhen will be the most anticipated transfer of this summer transfer window.
That's probably Chelsea and Napoli's best deal. But, there is no update on the swap's progress. I read how Conte spoke to Osimhen about his positon in the club. I think Osimhen may still stay. Conte wants to bring Lukaku to the club. But, if the deal fails, Napoli can keep Osimhen much longer. But again, The only consequence for Napoli must be to be ready. Osimhen may lose his value due to his poor performance. If i were Conte, and i'd like to swap Osimhen for Lukaku as soon as possible. Getting an experienced striker like Lukaku is far more profitable than keeping Osimhen. I don't like the decision to keep Osimhen, and there's still enough time for Napoli to change their mind for Lukaku.
Chelsea has tried to convince Napoli with Lukaku. But, the talks about how much Chelsea must pay (including Lukaku) are still ongoing. Osimhen's name is growing in Napoli. It's time for him to leave Serie A and compete with many great strikers in the EPL.
And last, I hope both of parties(Chelsea&Napoli) will complete this deal as soon as possible.
I don't think this is the best deal for Napoli. It should be known that Chelsea also values Romelu Lukaku not cheaply compared to his performance and age. It's silly to sell the most sought-after striker to buy a striker who is being abandoned by clubs. Meanwhile, Napoli still has the opportunity to sell Osimhen to the Saudi Pro League. Saudi Pro League is willing to spend the amount of money that Napoli wants. The Saudi Pro League needs to reach a personal agreement with Osimhen and convince this player to leave Europe to play in Saudi Arabia. It is still unclear whether Victor Osimhen is willing to go to Saudi Arabia to play as his career is still in the developing stage. But we can be sure that Napoli also wants to sell Osimhen to make money and reinvest in the squad. And they never want to lower the price of this striker. Which European club would dare to spend that amount of money?
