Taking a loan cannot be called "balancing". Imagine that you lost your house to a fire and a friend has allowed you to live at his place and use his stuff for a while, until you can get your own place. That's not balancing anything. You still don't have a house, you've lost a lot of money in that fire, it's just that you don't have to beg.
My strategy after losing is taking it like a man. I usually bet low amounts of money so a loss isn't anything, but a little pain and disappointment, that's it. Life goes on.
Borrowing money would be the last thing on my mind, I can tell you that.
