Compared to Kroos, this is an expected decision, and he is not finished with club football. It will be interesting to see what happens in a year - whether he retires from football altogether or goes to Saudi Arabia. Müller spent his entire career in Bayern, 17 years, and it seems to me that it is unlikely that he will go to play somewhere else for additional money.
Apart from the football role, he is one of the players to direct Vincent Kompany in some certain things. Whenever a coach falls out of love with an important player like Muller, it used to be disastrous.
