I do agree that if Kompany does badly, he will be fired easily, and it would be easier to fire him, because everyone thinks that hiring him was a mistake to begin with, so firing him would be something that everyone would agree with in the end anyway. I believe that the best thing to do in this case would be watch closely how things are going, and if they see it going badly for even just a month, they could fire him.
This needs to be done quickly though, because they have very few people in mind they can get. I still think it was a mistake firing Nagelsmann to be fair, he was doing fine and his transfers were great too, I believe that his player selection was better than Tuchel and will be better than Kompany as well.
If Bayern Munich brings in Kompany as interim coach, they should give him a short-term contract. Firing a coach is not a difficult thing for a club to do, but there is compensation that must be paid as a result of terminating one party's contract. Bayern Munich seems to be solving a puzzle of its own making, and the consequence is that they will have to spend a lot of money for free if they fire Kompany midway.
Many doubt Kompany ability to handle Bayern Munich, he is not a reliable coach and his quality has not been tested. Bayern Munich will have difficulty winning the Bundesliga and is expected to fail in the UCL because of Kompany's limitations in managing a big team like Bayern Munich.
