It's quite unfortunate that Man United is not really serious in pursuing Amadou Onana and it is very likely that the player will soon join Aston Villa. To be honest, I really hope that Man United can sign the Belgian defensive midfielder because Onana will not only make Man United stronger next season, but the player has the characteristics of a tough water carrier that Man United has not had for a long time. Apart from that, there is another effect if Amadou Onana joins Aston Villa (or another team), which will make Everton even more reluctant to let Jarrad Branthwaite go.

Like I normally say, playing for Manchester United has got to do with a whole lot, you need more than skill, you need to have both personality and character, likewise high standards, you need to set your standards high even before you can play for a top club like Manchester United. Manchester United never made approach for him in between.
If Man United has made a lot of improvements I believe their performance will improve but if they keep the existing players like last season I'm not sure Man United will perform well next season (IMO).
