NY Times says Marseille has already reached agreement in principle with Greenwood.

- €31.6m in total
- €27.6m fixed fee + €4m add-ons
Manchester United didn't have an intention to let him go for a cheap price as far as I know. Talks were pointing a sum around €50m. If it's true then I'm really curious about the Red Devils' answer to the offer.

He is a really talented youngster honestly. If I were in their place I would try to keep him or make as much profit as possible.
Wow, I did not know Marseille had that much money. Paying 28 or so million euros for Greenwood isn't bad, he definitely deserves that much money and he should be bought as well, loan offers were a lot, a dozen teams would be able to not only pay Greenwoods salary, but pay even some extra to United as well, so in order to make a change, United just wanted to get rid of him.
First of all, I would like to mentioned that he got cleared from accusations, which is a very important thing, he is not guilty of what he was accused of, and considering what we are seeing right now, I do not think that it really matters that much neither, we shouldn't really be considering that as a big deal, it's just what we have seen so far.
However, if we are going to talk about a situation that is getting wider and bigger, then we could also talk about the fact that Marseille bought themselves a player for cheaper than what he normally would have worth if this did not happen. It means that Greenwoods curse, became Marseilles blessing, while they wouldn't say that exactly because it would be upsetting to keep reminding Greenwood what could have happened, it's definitely a benefit that Marseille took advantage of.
