Ten hag has been able to convince INEOS that he’s the right man for the job. I think the FA cup win last season against their local rival Manchester City saved him. The management (INEOS) are doing everything to support him at the moment by getting his preferred signings. So far we have witnessed a lot of significant changes going on in the club, from the appointments of leading figures like Dan Ashworth, Omar Berrada and the assistant manager to Ten hag, Van Nistelrooy. To whom much is given, much is expected. So I expect a new Manchester United as the season kicks off.
He was given two seasons, with a lot of opportunities and was protected strongly against many criticisms recent months. His job and coach position are secured by his boss this summer, then he will be given more time to complete his project with Manchester United. The belief on Ten Hag from Manchester United continues to be solid but nothing to be sure that their boss won't change minds if in a next season, Ten Hag and his players can not satisfy quality requirements and expected results from their boss.
Being confident and determinant with a coach and a project is good but putting it on a wrong person won't help to achieve good results at all. Complain anything about Ten Hag now is non sense as he won't be fired this summer. I don't hope anyone to lose his job and don't wish it to Ten Hag, but we need to wait for his performances in a new season.
Next season will be a proving ground for Ten Hag, and it seems that Ten Hag is very aware that this will be decisive for him, therefore he is very serious in making preparations and does not want to wait long to make changes. The progress he has shown seems to be good. He's already got Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro so far, and in all likelihood, a new defensive midfielder will soon be his priority. Though he doesn't have much of a budget but, he has the option to release some of his players to increase the budget.
Now we just have to wait and see, with everything he has already got (and the possibility of other transfers in the future), would that be able to bring Man United reborn and shine again?
