Btw OP that doesn't mean you should abandon Linux. Do you have a better alternative? No. Windows is a spyware and I wouldn't trust closed-source MacOS about my privacy, it's apple after all and god knows how they use your data. You have no better option other than Linux and its distributions. It's also open-source, so there is no need to abandon it because of his statement.
