If anyone want to follow this particular advice, make sure to write the passphrase on a separate paper on a separate storage.
It's not a good idea to keep them together where a thief can easily get both data together.
Otherwise, it'll defeat the purpose of the BIP39 Passphrase.
Couldn't agree more! I just added edited my post to add this recommendation. I thought that's supposed to be a given.
The purpose of adding a passphrase is to make it impossible (
depending on how strong the passphrase is) for anyone to recover the wallet in case he gets access to the
tweleve-words seed.
The same applies to multi-sig wallets where the seeds need to be stored separately. The sale for wallet files and passwords used to encrypt them.
