Before retired Sergio Ramos want to playing at Sevilla because in this team people has starting to know him as the football player and when joining with Sevilla last season Sergio Ramos performance is quite well even i have to says Sergio Ramos transfer to Sevilla have positive impact for this team and he can bringing Sevilla to avoiding relegation zone and survive in Laliga but unfortunately Sevilla has decide to release him
Actually Sergio Ramos want to stayed at Sevilla for much longer because he feel comfortable to playing with this team but Sevilla have to terminate his contract and currently Sergio Ramos have no club although he was linked to several clubs but apparently this only remains rumours and last time i heard Saudi Arabian Club Al Nassr want to hire him but until now he hasn't respond this rumour yet and some rumours too mentioned Sergio Ramos will playing at MLS
To be fair, he won't be getting minutes unless they absolutely have to, there is really no reason for them to get him at all to make him play at most games.
It is just a move so that they would be able to get him in case anyone gets injured and what not. They have a limited amount of defenders, all of which better than Ramos right now, and they are not planning on putting Ramos in there. They are thinking, if one of them gets injured, the other gets booked, then Ramos should be at the bench to make sure we have someone there. In these type of situations teams may go with youth setup instead of getting a 38 year old player, after all some 17 year old kid who could be good in the future, could be a good idea.
However, Ramos is different, that dude played at Real for all his good career and he was amazing, he was bought and then gave like what 10+ seasons there? He was definitely awesome and I am expecting him to be good again like that as a veteran too, he could help with leadership of the team and help with the young players. In the end, I still would prefer a youth player at that position, like "just in case" should be some 17 year old kid, but Real never had any good youth setup ever, they just buy their players.
