I just came here to post on here after just losing money on a futures trade lmao, futures can be hard when you don't really know what you are doing. naive me went for a high leverage instead of just 2x. screw all these useless events events exchanges do, they should genuinely have an event for foolish traders that lose their money. Even if they don't give me my money back they should give me half lmaoooo, I promise I won't do futures anymore.
Have you guys ever felt like quitting futures or just trading in general?
For the most part trading futures is indeed a way to gamble your money, and this is because traders have only four things they can control, their money, the risk they take, the moment they create a position and the moment they get out.

Futures trading makes you to lose control of three of those factors, as you no longer control the moment in which you will close your position, the risk you can take is out of your control as well as you likely used leverage, and as such you lose control over your money too, so it should not be surprising at all that people lose so much money when trading in this way.
