I found the following article which cites a tweet by Watcher.Guru as a source. A tweet is short and vague, and it's not a credible source of information, in my opinion. To be honest, I hope they don't do it because I don't like games that involve in-game purchases in general. You pay for the game, and then you are drawn to keep spending, which can get addictive and is generally not nice for gamers.
