However, if you gamble every couple of weeks, I don’t think it will be harmful. The main thing is not to do this constantly, because habits are formed precisely because of consistency.
The most important thing to control about gambling is the amount of money used for gambling in relation to the total funds of the gambler. This is more important than controlling how frequent gambling is made. If the amount used for gambling is very small and insignificant relative to the gambler's financial status such that he can afford to lose it without pain, then gambling will never be a painful thing for him. Gambling can be a hobby but it is dangerous to make gambling a hobby because there is a thin line between hobby and addiction.
However, if you have set aside less money but gamble continuously, still, you will experience losess which is getting bigger. Hobbies don't have to be done every day, we definitely have busy activities such as working or doing other activities and we will only do hobbies in our free time. For me, hobbies are activities. which makes me happy and useful, but if it involves losses, in my opinion it is just a misery and is certainly dangerous and is not worthy of being a hobby.
That's correct. If we keep our minds busy with out things then we can avoid more losses in the future. The thing is, our brains are set to get revenge whenever we lose and that's where gambling addiction starts and we forget that it was supposed to be a hobby only. Once it becomes a habit, it will be difficult to get away from it because there's this urgency that wants us to go back and get our revenge with the thought of winning back our money and that's when we will stop. But I tell you, that's not the end of it, it happened to me a lot of times where I got my money back and there was an idea that you would try one more time thinking you could win this time. Forget it. Gambling sites are not charity.
