If a person who is addicted to gambling realizes that he is addicted to gambling and he should come out of this addiction but he tries to come out and if he has 100% effort then surely he can come out of this addiction.
I have yet to see anyone who was able to get out of gambling addiction. Gamblers get out of gambling when they are in too much debt and don't have enough money to gamble.
I think gambling addiction is one of the worst habits because every gambler gradually gets themselves addicted to gambling in such a way that they think of earning money from it to support their family i.e. they take it as their goal. Then their greed increases. As the greed increases, they become more addicted and can't get out easily.
It all boils down to the discipline again. Your greed never should overcome your patience and discipline, because even if it comes from a good heart, it won't cause any improvement in the long run. There is a big difference between a gambler who sees it as a hobby and a way to have a good time and one who uses it to triple or quadruple his profit.
