A completely irrelevant test match is taking place at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont, between Ireland and Zimbabwe. I don't understand the point in having just three teams in second division test cricket. Ideally there should be at least 8 teams. Apart from the existing ones (Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan), they can add Scotland, Netherlands, Nepal, Namibia and USA. Anyway, at this point, Zimbabwe has got a good start. They are at 65/0, without the loss of any wickets. Prince Masvaure and Joylord Gumbie are at the crease.
Ireland won the toss and sent Zimbabwe into bat, they had so far reached 85 for no wickets by the lunch break. Joylord Gumbie took a personal 49 just one run away from his half-century and is doing well on his debut. From the point of view of experience, Zimbabwe has played Tests much earlier than Ireland, so I will definitely put Zimbabwe ahead in the only Test match. Ireland have some good bowlers in ODI cricket and they playing today, but their experience is not useful now, they must use the experienced to take control of the match. The match has just started today and it is not clear which way it will go, but for now Zimbabwe are in a good position.
