The reports linking Alexander Arnold to Real Madrid is actually true. He has less than 1 year left on his contract. He’s been on their radar for a while now. Real Madrid have just Carvajal as their first choice RB. He’s 32 years old and I don’t think Real Madrid will give him a new deal considering his age. So it’s no surprise that Real Madrid are after his services. He’s the only name that they’ve been linked to so far. They need someone to take over from Dani Carvajal when he leaves.
After losing Toni Kroos I don't want to see Carvajal leave Madrid. But regeneration must be done to maintain the team's performance which must always be maintained and maybe the plan to recruit Alexander Arnold is just a rumor that will not happen this summer. Carvajal is one of the most reliable players and he also made a big contribution to Madrid. So my prediction is that Carvajal still has 2 more seasons before leaving Madrid and from now on Madrid management is choosing young players who can replace Carvajal position properly.
Ancelotti currently has big plans and in the next two seasons he will probably not change the current line-up which is already very perfect.
