People have such bad ideas about gambling since long ago. Anyone who gambles is scolded or looked down upon. If there is a family member especially husband or wife they get worried because in gambling everyone has a common idea that they will turn into addicted gamblers. And thinking like this, one behaves abnormally towards others. I also never want to open up about my gambling. Because I know that once my gambling is known there will be a lot of criticism about me which will annoy me. So I don't like any kind of trouble which is why I resort to lies to hide my gambling. As long as my family members don't find out about my gambling habits, I can be free.
from the many eyes of the public, gambling is indeed seen as a bad thing, with many people and cases that have occurred because they have experienced life destruction. even though gambling is not entirely bad, I like to gamble reasonably because there are limits and thoughts that do not misinterpret and consider gambling as it should be, it makes me fine. I will continue to apply a healthy mindset with the gambling that is done because I also do not want to experience bad things with the gambling that I do.

I myself hide gambling from my family because they certainly have a bad view of gambling, but if the gambling that I do does not cause me problems then that's okay, but hiding the gambling that I do from my family is a must because if they find out it will be a problem even though the gambling that I do does not cause problems. it all depends on ourselves who do it.

Yes, overall, society does have a bad stigma towards gambling activities, none other than that it happens because there are indeed many gamblers who experience negative impacts in gambling such as those who have entered the addiction phase who experience problems especially in their financial balance so that sometimes it is difficult for them to meet their living needs because of the excessive approach to gambling, but if we think further using common sense, maybe we will say that actually what is bad is not gambling but the behavior of the gamblers themselves who try to treat gambling in the wrong way from the start.

On the other hand, I see that you have a fairly accurate view and understanding of gambling by only treating the activity reasonably or in the sense that it is not excessive, that's good and will certainly keep you fine as long as you can maintain such a reasonable understanding and approach.

Another thing related to hiding gambling from others, especially from family, is that it is actually a choice, because it depends on where you live, if for example you live in a country that legalizes gambling then maybe people will not be too concerned that you are involved in the activity, but on the other hand if you are in a country that prohibits the activity which generally has a bad stigma towards gambling activities then yes hiding it might be a better idea, with the note that you can still control and manage your gambling habits well in the sense of not being excessive.
