I don't really know what has happened to Barcelona because they were actually doing well before Lionel Messi left the team in 2021 but i have made some research and found out that the major causes of the financial crisis rocking the club now was as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic and mismanagement of funds by the club's management and the current challenges that the club is facing now are some of the consequences that results from making wrong financial decisions so it will really take time before the team will recover which will definitely not be anytime soon because the club is already owing huge debts and numerous debts hinders the growth of a team.
The club's president and the fans can't expect any magic from the head coach Hansi Flick because he lacks the resources to run the club to a greater height, financial setback is one of the things that takes most teams backwards and if FC Barcelona is not careful more chaos may befall the team.
It "may" take time for them to recover from those bad periods, but at the same time we need to realize that they are not looking to fix anything anytime soon neither. They are basically looking to make things get a lot worse, and that's the trouble. I feel like we need to see this situation changing at times, and because of that we are talking about a situation that may not be all that great.
For all intends and purposes, they look like they are making a mistake and they are trying to keep getting things done in a way that they should not. Recovery is a painful and time consuming thing, and if they do it then aftermath will be much better and they will be awesome, but they do not want to do it right now, so the yare postponing it, making it even more time consuming and more painful for the future.
I am sensing that Laporte just wants to get a few more achievements before he is done, and after he screw the team over finally and the team is just done, he will leave and let someone else take care of the terrible period. After all, he is the reason why the team is in this shape, and if it was someone else who knows finances, that person would have managed this club better, less achievements but at least better future.
