The speeches of Donald Trump, Robert F Kennedy, US Senators Bill Hagerty, Cynthia Lummis, and Tim Scott at this year's Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, received the spotlight in the Bitcoin community. Donald Trump and Robert F Kennedy spoke so well about Bitcoin thereby receiving applause and cheers from attendees. I was also thrilled by their comments because it will affect the Bitcoin space positively.
Trump said Bitcoin is a wonder to the world and will soon overtake gold. He promised to make the US the crypto capital of the world. Kennedy also promised to apply the same strategy of Nayib Bukele of El Salvador by making the US buy 500 BTC daily until the country's reserve gets to 4 million BTC. Such a wonderful promise.
There is no way we can verify the true intentions of these sweet talkers.
But the greatest and the most truthful message came from
Edward Snowden and it reads:
“Cast a vote, but don’t join a cult". “They are not our tribe. They are not your personality. They have their own interests, their own values, their own things they’re chasing. Try to get what you need from them, but don’t give yourself to them, even if you have to vote for them.”
I honestly feel pretty embarassed as a btc holder that community gives a stage to these kind of people. It feels like btc took immediately dip from 69k to 66 just because pure embaressement of that rambling.
“Most people have no idea what the hell it is, you know that, right?”
There's no way in the world i would believe that he understands what Bitcoin is. He just wants to pander his voters and say what he thinks they want to hear. He will eat his words if being elected, because he just don't give a rats ass about btc. Pandering everyone is however difficult when voterbase is scattered and, not surprisingly christian values of banning pro choice wouldn't mix well with libertarians who want less government oversight and control over their own choices.
